Jeffrey J. Milton
– President and Chief Executive Officer, Director

Mr. Milton joined Unity as President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2002. Previously, he was the President and CEO of Synecom Communications Corporation, an integrated communications provider. In this role, Mr. Milton developed a business plan, raised the first two rounds of seed capital, and recruited a seasoned management team who, along with himself, brought extensive experience in competitive local telecommunications, network services, and Internet services arenas for this start-up communications company. Commencing in 1992, Mr. Milton was the President of Optel Communications, Inc., a co-owner of an international submarine cable system sold to Teleglobe, Inc. in 1998. He was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Institutional Communications Company, Inc., one of the first competitive access providers in the United States. Through Mr. Milton’s efforts, ICC made a dramatic turnaround and demonstrated the early profit potential of competitive access providers. ICC was subsequently sold to MFS Communications Company, Inc. in 1991, which in turn, was acquired by MCI, formerly WorldCom. Mr. Milton has also served as Chief Executive Officer of two real estate development companies, President of Sanctuary Golf Club, and has practiced law. Mr. Milton is a graduate of Georgetown University (LL.M.), Washington College of Law at American University (J.D.), and Michigan State University (B.A.). Back to top

Norbert H. Snobeck
– Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Director

Mr. Snobeck joined the Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2002. Previously, he served in senior technical capacities at Synecom, WorldCom, Inc., MFS Communications, ICC, and MCI. At MFS, he served in various positions, ultimately as Vice President of Switch Engineering of the Global Network Services Division. At ICC, Mr. Snobeck served as Vice President of Operations. As the Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President of Synecom Communications Corporation, Mr. Snobeck drafted the technical business plan, which was based on a UNE-P network strategy. Mr. Snobeck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. Back to top

Linda R. Klieforth
– Vice President of Administration and Finance

Ms. Klieforth joined the Company as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Human Resources in June 2002. She has over two decades of experience as a senior human resources and administration professional in the telecommunications, human resources, and real estate industries. Most recently, Ms. Klieforth was the Director of Human Resources and Administration for Sanctuary Development Corporation and Sanctuary Golf Club, which developed a $100 million private golf course community. Formerly, she served as the Director of Human Resources and Administration for ICC, where she also oversaw all aspects of policy development, training, and benefits management. As the Director of Human Resources at Synecom Communications Corporation, Ms. Klieforth created the personnel requirements for this start-up venture. Back to top

Konrad Schaefer
– Director

Mr. Schaefer joined the Company’s Board of Directors in June of 2002. Most recently, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Swisscom North America, where he was instrumental in establishing Swisscom A.G.’s United States operation. Prior to joining Swisscom, Mr. Schaefer gained extensive experience in the U.S. and international telecommunications sector. He was Chairman and co-founder of Optel Telecommunications, Inc., which developed a submarine cable system between the United States and Canada. Optel was sold to Teleglobe, Inc. in 1998. Mr. Schaefer also founded PTAT, a transatlantic submarine cable system sold to Sprint. He has also held various positions at the Federal Communications Commission and the White House Office of Telecommunications Policy. Back to top

LaMoine Potter
– National Sales Director

Ms. Potter has been with Unity, and its predecessors, RAM Technologies and American Mobilephone Paging, Inc since 1992. She has held a series of senior-level Sales & Marketing positions throughout her management career. She has a proven track record of effectively managing a geographically disbursed sales team and driving revenue growth within highly competitive, emerging technology markets, nationwide. She has successfully led the integration of the company's products, technologies and resources to support future growth and expansion in the face of two acquisitions, in addition to developing strategic alliances with other national wireless carriers. She is responsible for heading up the Direct and Indirect Distribution channels for the Wireless Division. Prior to joining the Telecom Industry, she was a Senior Manager for the Limited, Inc. Ms. Potter holds a BS in Accounting from Marshall University. Back to top
